Armin von Bogdandy is director at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg and Professor for Public Law at the University in Frankfurt/Main.
He has been President of the OECD Nuclear Energy Tribunal as well as a member of the German Science Council (Wissenschaftsrat) and the Scientific Committee of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights; he has held visiting positions at the New York University School of Law and the Universidad Nacional Autonóma de México, among many others.
He published Ius Constitutionale Commune en América Latina (UNAM, 2014) and En nombre de quién (forthcoming in 2016). Furthermore, he is co-editor of the handbook series Ius Publicum Europaeum.
His research centers on the structural changes affecting public law, be they theoretical, doctrinal, or practical.
